Deadline reports that Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has won the role, and that the storyline will involve a trip into the future, which seems to explain why John Conner is some 20 years older than his mother. Arnold Schwarzengger is also expected to return for the film. A release is planned for July 2015.
