Daredevil Trailer: The Little Man Thinks He Can Make a Difference

Netflix has released a more official full-length trailer for its upcoming series Marvel’s Daredevil, which features the best look at the series yet. Just about every character in the show gets a line or an appearance, including Kingpin, so you’re going to want to check it out below.

While the first trailer set a nice tone for the show, this trailer lays out the world and lets the audience get a real feel for the series. The impressions I get from this trailer are that Vincent D’Onofrio is going to kill it as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, The Stick scenes are going to be awesome, and Marvel definitely wants you to know that this show is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with that last line. Something tells me that the overall connections won’t be much bigger than a few small references like that one spread throughout the show.

Positive thoughts aside, I do feel that much like the first trailer, this one treads a lot of familiar ground. If I were a non-comic book fan and saw that trailer, it would still look like Marvel’s Daredevil series has way too much in common with the film version starring Ben Affleck. Needless to say though, I’m still quite excited about The Defenders Universe on Netflix and still have high hopes for Marvel’s Daredevil.

Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the Super Hero “Daredevil” in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Marvel’s Daredevil is a grounded, authentic, suspenseful and edgy action drama featuring a great cast that includes:

o    Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil

o    Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk

o    Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple

o    Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page

o    Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson

o    Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Ulrich

o    Scott Glenn as Stick

o    Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna

o    Bob Gunton and Leland Owlsey

o    Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley

Marvel’s Daredevil is one of the best known properties of the street level heroes and will be the first of four epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Iron Fist, and Marvel’s Luke Cage, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) that delves into the backstory of how Matt Murdock evolves into Daredevil.

Marvel’s first original series on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus”, “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer”, “Angel”) and Drew Goddard ( “Cabin in the Woods,” “Lost,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”, in addition to writing the first two episodes of Daredevil), along with Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television. The series is produced byMarvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Marvel’s Daredevil will premiere its 13 episode first season on April 10, 2015 at 12:01 AM PT in all territories where Netflix is available.
