The Mad Titan has finally found his voice. After two years of speculation following the post-credits sequence after The Avengers that teased Thanos was coming to the MCU, an actor has been hired to bring him to life and Latino Review broke the name: Josh Brolin. According to the report, Guardians of the Galaxy has a scene that necessitated his appearance in the film, thus the casting news.
It sounds as if Brolin will only be providing the voice of Thanos, at least for now, but the man definitely has the chin for the role, so perhaps we’ll get some mo-cap or even full body suit/make-up from the talented actor by the time Avengers 3 rolls around. No official word on whether or not the big purple guy will show up in Avengers: Age of Ultron in any capacity, but I wouldn’t count it out.
Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters August 1, 2014.
