During last year’s Comic-Con, we got our first look at Gal Gadot in costume as Wonder Woman, as she will appear in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While her next appearance as the character won’t be happening until the Wonder Woman standalone film in 2017, it sounds like she’ll be heading into production before the end of this year.
In a report about Gadot negotiating for a role in Keeping Up With the Joneses alongside Zack Galifianakis, Deadline mentions that she is expected to begin shooting Wonder Woman this fall. Michelle MacLaren will direct the film from a script by Jason Fuchs, and while rumors have begun circulating that Warner Bros. is planning a trilogy of films based on the character, only the first film has been confirmed at this time.
Wonder Woman is scheduled for release on June 23, 2017, but you’ll be able to catch Gal Gadot as the character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
