Fans have just over a month to wait until The Flash super-speeds onto The CW and we’ve got a look at some new poster art for the upcoming series. The featured image above was a poster that debuted at Comic-Con 2014 and has now been released, but the big news is this awesome movie theater caliber poster that hit the interwebs today:
Eagle-eyed fans will spot a handful of DC Comics Easter Eggs in the cityscape The Flash is running through. Obviously there’s Queen Consolidated and Big Belly Burger (the popular fictional DC fast-food franchise) that are both featured on Arrow. You can see Kord Industries in the middle left center across from S.T.A.R. Labs – of course owner Ted Kord is the original Blue Beetle.
Just below the Big Belly Burger sign, in the very bottom right corner there’s graffiti that says “Grodd Lives”. How cool is that? Moving to the upper left edge of the poster you see AmerTek, which is the industrial military company that employed engineer John Henry Irons – aka Steel – in the comic books.
The big mystery thus far is the building and logo in the far back left corner. Many online have claimed its Wayne Industries, but I’m not buying it. I’m guessing we’ll figure it out when a hi-re version of the poster is released.
Are these specifically planted to tease who might be appearing in the future on the show or just an artist having fun with the DC Universe being created for television?
Answers will be forthcoming when The Flash premieres on October 7th, on The CW.
