Comic-Con Interview: Aisha Tyler Talks Big Changes for 'Archer'

FX’s Emmy-nominated animated spy comedy Archer has long been a staple of San Diego Comic-Con, with annual appearances from the hilarious voice cast and a no-holds-barred Q&A panel that almost always holds a few surprises for the show’s diehard fans.

This year, a new teaser trailer shown during the panel revealed that the upcoming eighth season would be the biggest departure yet for the series, which will take place entirely in Sterling Archer’s mind while he lies in a coma after being shot during the Season 7 finale. While the teaser has not yet been made available online, reports indicate that Archer had reimagined himself as a 1920s-era private investigator as he delves into the mystery of who killed a beloved supporting character.

Shortly before the cast of Archer took the stage at Comic-Con, we joined a group of journalists to chat with Aisha Tyler about her favorite moments from past seasons, her upcomning directorial debut, and where she would take the series if she were in charge. Check out the video below, courtesy of our YouTube page.

Archer returns for its eighth season in early 2017, exclusively on FX.
