One of Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s most intriguing new characters has finally been revealed in all his android glory, via a new character poster of Vision released on Marvel.com. The film has done a superb job of keeping the look and details of the character a secret thus far, but with press screenings starting to happen this week, Marvel is getting ahead of the curve.
Paul Bettany, who has voiced JARVIS in previous Marvel films, will be bringing Vision to life in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and your first official look is below.
We’re a long way from the grounded world of Iron Man, right? But this more comic book-oriented world the MCU has turned into is a geek’s dream, and seeing Vision brought to life this faithfully should bring smiles to the faces of Marvel fans everywhere.
Also, you can’t help but love the fact after playing JARVIS for three Iron Man movies and The Avengers, Bettany is finally getting some face time in Avengers: Age of Ultron, albeit in heavy CG. We can’t wait to see just how integral the character becomes to the story when Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1.
Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.
