A few months back, we attempted to bring you the “proof of concept” footage from the Godzilla remake, screened only for Hall H attendees at San Diego Comic Con. Unfortunately, the leaked trailer was quickly taken offline by the folks at Warner Bros., and we’ve been patiently awaiting our first official look at the film ever since.
Today, the wait is over. Director Gareth Edwards recorded this short greeting for fans anxiously anticipating this moment:

Now it makes sense why the Comic-Con footage was taken offline, as some of it appears in this clip. We never get a full shot of the creature, but we see enough to know that the filmmakers have done justice to the original creation. And wow, look at all the destruction. This is going to be insane.
