Remember last week, when we told you that Girls star Adam Driver was reportedly a frontrunner to portray Dick Grayson (aka Nightwing) in Batman vs. Superman? It’s starting to sound like that rumor was precisely that: a rumor, and nothing more.
Driver has been doing the press rounds for Inside Llewyn Davis, and in an interview with Collider he denied the rumors, calling them “intensely flattering.” Here’s the clip.
Driver also spoke with The Huffington Post, saying “there’s no truth to it. I don’t know how these things gets started. I don’t know how it came about.” Of course, the skeptics among us will point to the fact that this has been reported as a rumor, and that Driver may very well be in consideration by the studio, but may not have been contacted about the role just yet.
Warner Bros. will release the sequel to Man of Steel in Summer 2015.
