Last fall, director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo walked away from a remake of The Crow, and it didn’t take long before he boarded Summit Entertainment’s planned reboot of the Highlander franchise. Ryan Reynolds became attached to the project in June, and we haven’t heard much movement on the project until now.
It looks like Fresnadillo has abandoned ship on this one as well, citing creative differences with the studio. Deadline reports that Reynolds is still attached, and that Summit remains steadfast in its desire to get this one off the ground. Look for a new director to be announced shortly.
