We’ve already seen one trailer for Gone Girl, David Fincher’s adaptation of the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn, but that clip didn’t really tell us much. This new trailer seems like it goes in the opposite direction, but fans of the books will know that despite all of the information divulged here, this trailer is still barely scratching the surface of the mystery. Ben Affleck stars as a man whose wife (Rosamund Pike) has disappeared, and whether or not he’s involved is a question that plenty of people would like to see answered.
Gone Girl will hit theaters on October 3. Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit round out the supporting cast.
