Tomorrowland Trailer: I Want You to Take Me There

Disney has done a great job so far of keeping Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland shrouded in mystery, with both of the film’s trailers offering barely a glimpse at what sort of adventures are waiting for audiences. But there comes a time when a film must be marketed to the masses, so this morning the studio pulled back the curtain with a new Tomorrowland trailer.

If you’re hoping to go into Tomorrowland with as little information as possible, then we advise steering clear of this one altogether, as there’s plenty of spectacle on display here. We get a lot more of newcomer Britt Robertson, as well as grumpy old George Clooney, and even a little bit of Hugh Laurie’s character.

But we also get a much bigger, much more detailed look at Tomorrowland itself, which I was sort of hoping would remain under wraps until the film opened. Wishful thinking, of course, but as wonderful and exciting as this film looks, a part of me is already regretting watching this footage, because now there will be less surprises to look forward to.

But we’ll leave it up to you. Check out the new Tomorrowland trailer below.

Looks great, right? Tomorrowland open on May 22.

From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland,” a riveting mystery adventure starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world—and them—forever.

Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, from a story by Lindelof & Bird & Jeff Jensen, “Tomorrowland” promises to take audiences on a thrill ride of nonstop adventures through new dimensions that have only been dreamed of.

The film also stars Hugh Laurie as brilliant scientist David Nix, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key and Thomas Robinson.

“Tomorrowland” is produced by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird and Jeffrey Chernov and directed by Brad Bird, with John Walker, Brigham Taylor, Jeff Jensen and Bernard Bellew serving as executive producers. “Tomorrowland” opens in U.S. theaters on May 22, 2015.
