Animal Kingdom and Hesher director David Michôd is reuniting with Guy Pearce for his next film, a post-apocalyptic tale called The Rover. Very little is known about the plot, other than it features Pearce on a quest to retrieve something that belongs to him, but Michôd’s previous work has been rock solid and he has a knack for coaxing incredibly intense performances out of his actors.
Robert Pattinson also stars in the flick, and you can check out the moody teaser trailer below.
A24 will release The Rover in summer 2014.
