Star Wars: Episode VII news is coming fast and furious today (read our previous story) and now we bring some unconfirmed character details and concept art for Han Solo.
Badass Digest has the exclusive possible spoiler that in Star Wars: Episode VII, Han Solo and Chewie will not be piloting the Millenium Falcon at the beginning of the film, and instead would be in charge of a Super Star Destroyer! If true, that’s a pretty crazy image to picture. It does bring things full circle from the prequels to the original trilogy and back again, as the good guys are back in charge and have access to massive military vehicles.
Additionally, the report states that Han Solo will also once again use a lightsaber at some point, which of course you remember he briefly wielded Luke’s blue lightsaber in Empire Strikes Back to create the stinkiest sleeping bag ever – made of Tauntaun.
Indie Revolver has also been strong enough to pull the ears off a gundark with their Episode VII scoops. Today they broke some concept art of what exactly Han would be wearing in the film. Check them out below:
I have to say that I’ve vocally been against the idea of seeing an “old” Han Solo, but these images do relieve some of my apprehension of what it will be like to revisit the legendary character. The first image looks ripped right out of Hoth in Empire Strikes Back (did you see the possible new Snowtrooper here?) and the second one looks like cool, unused costume designs that have been around online for Luke in the original trilogy.
What do you guys think? Does Harrison Ford still look like the badass rogue that’s “nice men?”
Star Wars: Episode VII will be released on December 18, 2015.
