In addition to the earlier TCA related The Flash news, executive producer Greg Berlanti revealed Prison Break star Wentworth Miller has been cast as Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold. Miller will appear as a guest in the fourth episode, but will no doubt make future appearances on the Arrow spinoff.
Snart is arguably one of The Flash’s greatest enemies and has seen a major recent push in the comic books. He is the leader of the ant-hero team “The Rogues” that played a major role in the DC company-wide event Forever Evil and fans have long speculated if The Rogues would be making an appearance on The Flash. The character, that many confuse with Batman’s Mr. Freeze, has recently been portrayed as a down on his luck “everyman” that commits crimes with a moral code in order to make a living.
I really like the casting of Miller in the role and generally enjoy his work. He can be a bit wooden at times, but I think a role like this lends itself well to his steely gaze and brings a bit more veteran star power to the show. What do you guys think?
