Star Wars Celebrations kicks off in earnest in just over an hour, but we’ve already got your first bit of Star Wars: The Force Awakens news. StarWarsUnderworld.com claims to have gotten a hold of these promo posters featuring baddie Kylo Ren rocking his tri-saber, flanked by legions of Stormtroopers, TIE fighters, flames and even one dedicated strictly to the Stormtroopers themselves.
Check out the Star Wars: The Force Awakens promo posters below:
While these don’t come directly from Lucasfilm or Disney, they look extremely legit. /Film even cites a Twitter user that is a frequent contributor to StarWars.com as tweeting the photos, adding to the legitimacy of the art. This is also, by far, the best official look at the character of Kylo Ren, and the design is pretty darn awesome. He’s intimidating, cool, and everything you could ask for in a Star Wars dark side villain design. The nerd in me even draws comparison, in the look, to a dark version of Jedi Master Plo Koon.
To be clear, these are NOT the official theatrical posters that should be revealed along with the second trailer at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this morning. These are just promo posters that will most likely be used for things like lunch boxes, cell phone cases, and posters you can buy at Target. But this awesome promo art of Kylo Ren should whet your appetite for all the Star Wars: The Force Awakens content coming this weekend.
