Remember those character posters for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 that we brought you a couple of weeks ago? Very conspicuous by her absence in that collection was franchise star Jennifer Lawrence, whose portrayal of reluctant heroine Katniss Everdeen has catapulted the series into the stratosphere. Today, Lionsgate gave “The Girl on Fire” her very own poster, and you can check it out below.
I really like the design choice here – while Katniss appears to be clad in similar garb as her rebel counterparts, the flaming Mockingjay symbol in the background is a stark contrast to the simpler, more stoic look of the other posters. If we know anything about Katniss at this point, stoic she is not.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens on November 21.
