Furious 7 Super Bowl Trailer: One Last Ride

The wildly successful Fast and Furious franchise was rocked in late 2013 when series star Paul Walker was killed in a car accident while on a break from filming the seventh installment. After much discussion, Universal Pictures elected to move forward with production on Furious 7, rewriting the script in an effort to honor Walker’s memory, while taking advantage of the scenes he had already completed.

We’re just two short months from the film’s release, and the studio wants to let fans know that this will be the craziest ride yet. Check out the Furious 7 Super Bowl trailer below.

The sixth installment of the series had a jaw-dropping trailer during the 2013 Super Bowl, but this one far outshines the previous effort. Hopefully this doesn’t spoil the climax of Furious 7 – it would be nice to go into the film without knowing what to expect from all of the major actions sequences.

In addition to the late Walker, Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges will all reprise their roles from the previous films, alongside newcomer Jason Statham. Furious 7 opens on April 3.

Continuing the global exploits in the unstoppable franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of Fast & Furious 7. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series that also welcomes back favorites Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky and Lucas Black. They are joined by international action stars new to the franchise including Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey and Kurt Russell. Neal H. Moritz, Vin Diesel and Michael Fottrell return to produce the film written by Chris Morgan.
