It wasn’t that long ago when we got our first look at Pitch Perfect 2 via the film’s first teaser trailer. Then there was that little bit of footage from the Super Bowl, too. Despite the fact that this trailer contains more footage – and a lot of it unseen – this is probably the least effective of the three clips we’ve seen so far. Something just feels off here – I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it almost seems like the film is trying too hard, and I definitely enjoyed the first two trailers more than I enjoyed this clip.
Directed by Elizabeth Banks (who also stars), the film features Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Hailee Steinfeld. Pitch Perfect 2 opens on May 15.
The Barden Bellas are back in Pitch Perfect 2, the follow-up to 2012’s smash hit. The comedy is helmed by Elizabeth Banks, co-star and producer of Pitch Perfect, and produced by Paul Brooks, Max Handelman and Banks. Writer Kay Cannon returns to the team to pen the next chapter.
