The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards took place last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Richard Linklater’s 12-year opus Boyhood was the big winner in the film categories, taking home statues for Best Director, Best Supporting Actress (Drama), and Best Picture (Drama). Birdman was close behind with two awards, including a much-deserved Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) award for Michael Keaton.
Things were spread a bit more evenly on the television side, with no network or series taking home more than 2 awards. Highlights include Kevin Spacey’s Best Actor win for House of Cards, followed by a fantastic acceptance speech, and a pair of awards for Fargo, including Best Miniseries.
