Whitney Cummings to juggle two sitcoms for fall TV season.

Not only can Whitney Cummings be seen this fall on NBC’s Whitney (which the comedienne created and produced), but she will also be showing up on rival network CBS in the gal-pal sitcom Two Broke Girls.  How does the star intend to keep everything balanced?

“I’m so lucky that I’m able to be part of two amazing shows.  I am spending my days at the NBC show, and then I’ll be at home and read the notes on Two Broke Girls, but I think it’s in pretty good hands.”

Cummings recently spoke with the LA Times during the TCA press tour about her influences and how she developed her on-screen persona:

“Roseanne has been really important to me.  Her show is one of my favorite shows ever.  In terms of persona, if you know who I am it’s going to feel like the same person.  It’s always my intention to have my personal life echo the show.  Hopefully what happens in my real life will happen on the show.”

Whitney premieres September 22nd, 2011 on NBC.  Catch a sneak peek below.
