The culmination of the Netflix and Marvel partnership is finally headed to streaming devices this fall, when the “street level” heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist – join forces in The Defenders. The series will premiere in August, but the first look is available now.

Check out the first trailer for The Defenders right here.

The series will unite each of the main heroes from their respective Netflix shows, with Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones reprising their roles. And you can expect plenty of familiar faces in the supporting cast, which will also include returning talents Elodie Yung (Elektra), Scott Glenn (Stick), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Simone Missick (Misty Knight) and Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing).

And then there’s Sigourney Weaver as the villain of the series – we still don’t know her identity, but based on this footage we can ascertain that she’s not someone whose bad side our heroes will enjoy being on.

The Defenders will premiere on August 18, exclusively on Netflix.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.
