When Beavis and Butt-head return to MTV this fall after a 14-year hiatus, they’ll still be giggling idiots with sophomore-level humor, and they’ll still have the same wardrobe.
Speaking to the LA Times during the TCA press tour, creator Mike Judge said:
“I didn’t want to do a big, conscious, forcing of all this modern stuff on them. They really weren’t that much of their time to begin with. I even remember people saying, AC/DC and Metallica? Shouldn’t it be Pearl Jam?”
Deadline also asked Judge what prompted him to revisit the characters after so many years:
“I like doing it. We’d talked about doing another movie over the years. But, you know, ‘King of the Hill’ was done, I thought we had a couple of pretty good characters here, maybe we should do this while we still could. I don’t know, it just felt right.”
Beavis and Butt-headwill air on MTV on October 12th, 2011. For now, giggle at the early footage below.
