Phoenix Film Festival Announces Summer Showcase

The 2015 Phoenix Film Festival was a huge success, boasting submissions from a wide variety of talented filmmakers, as well as special screenings of some of the year’s best films, including the Sundance mega-hit Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. But you won’t have to wait until next year’s event to catch another round of great flicks.

The Phoenix Film Festival has announced the inaugural Summer Showcase, offering audiences a chance to screen for unreleased films before they hit theaters. The event takes place August 10-13, and tickets are available now from www.phoenixfilmfestival.com. There are only 200 seats for each film, so take advantage now!

PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL INTRODUCES THE SUMMER
SHOWCASE FROM AUGUST 10th – 13th

PHOENIX (July 29, 2015) – Phoenix Film Festival is making 2015 a landmark year with the inaugural of the Phoenix Film Festival Summer Showcase taking place from August 10th to the 13th, at the Harkins Scottsdale 101, with each showing starting at 7 pm. The Phoenix Film Festival Summer Showcase will feature screenings of four films before they’re released in theaters. Each night a different film will be screened and following the screenings there will be a hosted discussion about the film. This will give audiences an opportunity to preview some of the best summer studio films.

The following titles will be showing on the following dates:

Monday, August 10th – MISTRESS AMERICA starring Greta Gerwig and Lola Kirke
Tuesday, August 11th – TIME OUT OF MIND starring Richard Gere and Jena Malone
Wednesday, August 12th- COP CAR starring Kevin Bacon and James Freedson-Jackson
Thursday, August 13th- A WALK IN THE WOODS starring Robert Redford and Nick Nolte
