“The Hangover III” stars negotiating for hefty pay increase.
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis created a hilarious comedy trio in The Hangover, which raked in $467 million worldwide and spawned an inferior sequel that, despite its shortcomings, surpassed the box office numbers of its predecessor with a worldwide gross of $581 million. With numbers like that, tt’s no surprise that Warner Bros. is pushing forward with another installment, but this time the cast wants a piece of the action, too.
The Hollywood Reporter says that Cooper, Helms, and Galifianakis are asking for $15 million each (against backend) to reprise their roles, and that Warner Bros. is likely to cave to their demands in order to have a guaranteed success on their schedule, particularly aftersaying farewell to the Harry Potter and Batman franchises. Expect the deal to be finalized soon, as the studio wants to shoot this summer for a May 2013 release.
