Fincher’s “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” gets 4-minute trailer.

A teaser trailer for David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has been making the rounds for quite some time, and although it features plenty of great-looking imagery, there’s no dialogue and no sense of what the plot entails. Now a second trailer has surfaced, nearly four minutes in length, that sets the stage for what is being marketed as “the feel-bad movie of Christmas.”
After reading the novel and watching the Swedish film, I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for this. The casting of Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig is perfect, and the haunting score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose should service the material very well. While there are plenty of other films this fall that I’m excited for, nothing even comes close to the anticipation I have for this one.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo opens December 21, 2011.
