Action-packed Super Bowl trailer for “Battleship.”

I can’t make up my mind about Battleship. The concept sounds kinda ridiculous, and most of the footage we’ve seen so far seems to present a movie that wants to be Transformers in a bad, bad way… but then I remind myself that director Peter Berg’s flicks might not be the stuff that Oscars are made of, but they’re usually entertaining. Also, Liam Neeson is a badass.
Anyway, here’s the Super Bowl spot for Battleship, which includes a lot of stuff blowing up, as well as our first good look at the aliens.
Also starring Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, and Alexander Skarsgard, Battleship opens on May 18, 2012.
