Morgan Freeman set to join “Now You See Me.”
Variety is reporting that Morgan Freeman is in negotiations to join Mark Ruffalo, Amanda Seyfried, and Jesse Eisenberg in Now You See Me, which pits the FBI against the Four Horsemen, a group of world-renown illusionists who pull off bank heists during their stage performances, sharing the profits with audience members. According to Variety:
“Freeman is in talks to play Thaddeus, an ex-magician who has made a career out of exposing other magicians’ illusions, making him a despised figure within the magic community.”
The script was written by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt, and Louis Leterrier is currently attached to direct.
