It’s only been a few weeks since we got our first official look at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and while a full-length trailer was expected to premiere alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, director James Gunn surprised attendees at the Comic Con Experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil by premiering a brand new look at the film.

Check out the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer below.

Much like the previous teaser trailer, this clip reveals virtually nothing about the film’s plot, and once again focuses on reminding us why we fell in love with this band of misfits in the first place.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker and Karen Gillen will reprise their roles from the original film, and they’ll be joined by newcomers Kurt Russell, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Glenn Close and Elizabeth Debicki.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will open on May 5, 2017.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
