[EXCLUSIVE VIDEO] First impressions Battlefield 3 open beta (PC).

The first salvo has been fired in this holiday’s showdown between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3, as EA has gone live with the Battlefield 3 open beta. I sat down this evening and recorded my thoughts as I played through a bit of the beta.

The Battlefield 3 open beta is available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC through October 10th. The full game is scheduled for release October 25 on all three platforms.  Grab the PC version of the beta here, and after it melts your face off, buy the game below.

    After hearing you mention the new web browser based launcher and such, I was a bit worried. But it’s extremely smooth and not invasive at all. You don’t have to go through the process of booting the entire game up and then navigating a server browser. You just click and it launches you into the game. I’m not 100% used to it, but I AM 100% on board now after playing for a few hours.
