News of the upcoming South Park-themed RPG broke several months ago thanks to a cover story from Game Informer, but no footage from the game had been seen by the public until today, when creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone graced the stage at Microsoft’s E3 press conference to unveil the first official trailer for South Park: The Stick of Truth. Have a look at the trailer, courtesy of IGN.
This looks like it could be a trailer for an episode of the television series, and Stone was adamant that the title “had to look just like South Park, which is pretty crappy. You won’t believe how much work went into creating that crappy look.” The title has been in development for more than two years, and Parker and Stone continue to work closely with developers Obsidian to ensure that the finished product lives up to their vision.
South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released on March 5, 2013.
