‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Teaser: Guilt Can Be a Good Thing

Marvel and Netflix had a major presence at New York Comic-Con this weekend, screening the first episode of Jessica Jones and unveiling the first official footage from the second season of Daredevil. It’ll be another month before we can check out the former – but the latter is available right now.

A low-quality version of the first Daredevil Season 2 teaser was leaked on YouTube earlier today before quickly being set to “private.” But a short time later, other versions began popping up all over social media. The video below comes courtesy of an anonymous Twitter user (and chances are, it won’t survive very long). Check it out.

With less than 30 seconds of actual footage, this teaser trailer still does a great job of making an impact, and introduces us – albeit briefly – to Elektra (Elodie Yung) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal). That final bit of dialogue is from Frank Castle himself, and although attendees at NYCC report that he’s saying “beg,” it sounds an awful lot like “bang” to us.

As for the rest of the cast, just about everyone is back from the first season. Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) is still consumed with guilt, even though he’s serving the greater good. Foggy (Elden Henson) and Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) seem pretty somber in this footage – is the gang attending a funeral, or just a church service? Oh, and there’s Claire (Rosario Dawson), who we can also expect to pop up in some of the other Marvel/Netflix offerings.

No word yet on whether or not we’ll see Vincent D’ Onofrio return as Wilson Fisk – with the Kingpin behind bars, it would be easy to leave him out of the show’s second season, but we’re hoping he at least shows up for a cameo. Maybe the blind lawyer from Hell’s Kitchen could drop by the penitentiary for a visit?

Daredevil Season 2 will hit Netflix in 2016.
