Bradley Cooper no longer attached to “The Crow.”

Earlier this year, news broke that Bradley Cooper would play the lead in Relativity Media’s reboot of The Crow.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, this is no longer the case, as Cooper has elected to pass on the project, due to scheduling conflicts with David O. Russell’s The Silver Linings Playbook.  Two other names are now being rumored for the role: Mark Wahlberg and Channing Tatum.

Ironically, Wahlberg had previously passed on an opportunity to star in the film in order to work with David O. Russell on Playbook.  Wahlberg then left the project due to scheduling conflicts of his own, so with Cooper vacating The Crow, there’s a possibility that Wahlberg could find a spot in his schedule to play the role after all.

We expect some news on this soon, as The Crow is a high-profile project for Relativity that they intend to shoot in the first quarter of 2012.

  1. I never was a Crow fan to begin with. Due mostly to the fact that I was not a goth teen girl when the original came out. But if Wahlberg, Mr. no personality himself, plays the recast of Eric then I seriously will have no reason to watch it. (see his performances in The Happening, and pretty much every other movie besides The Other Guys if you dont understand what I mean)
