‘Alien: Covenant’ Trailer: The Path to Paradise Begins in Hell

Over the holidays, we got our first official look at Alien: Covenant, director Ridley Scott’s sequel to Prometheus that hopes to do a better job bridging the gap between this new series of films and Scott’s original sci-fi classic. The first footage was definitely promising, and now 20th Century Fox has released another trailer to whet our appetites.

Check out the new Alien: Covenant trailer below.

There’s no denying that Prometheus was a gorgeous film, but it never quite lived up to the expectations of horror fans. Based on what we’ve seen from Alien: Covenant so far, audiences can look forward to a great-looking film that also scares the bejesus out of them.

With a stellar cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, and James Franco, Alien: Covenant will hit theaters on May 19.

The path to paradise begins in hell. Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
